One week left to bid, & help Opera Brava change lives
A final reminder that our Opera Brava Auction closes on Tuesday, 11 November and we’d love your support before it ends.
We know how busy life gets (and how easily emails get buried), but we hope you’ve had a chance to look through the wonderful prizes: from unique Opera experiences to some truly special one-off items.
This is our first ever auction, and we’re so grateful to Echelon for guiding us through the process and helping us prepare such a remarkable collection of items.
Why your support matters
As a charity, Opera Brava depends on donations, grants, and trust funding to continue our work, particularly in primary schools, where we see first-hand how opera can transform children’s confidence and imagination.
“We had an Ofsted inspection last week and they praised the wider opportunities we offer our pupils. Opera Brava is a huge part of that. One pupil, Susan, had never been to the theatre or even heard the word ‘opera’. Yet there she was, singing her heart out on stage. Only months earlier she was too timid to speak to an adult. Your work truly changes lives.”
Stories like Susan’s remind us why this work matters so deeply.
Looking ahead
We’ve commissioned composer Jenny Gould to create a brand-new opera of Peter Pan. Two-thirds of the piece are already written. The rights are held by Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), and every performance will see our licence fee donated directly to GOSH. We’re even in early talks about performing part of the work at the hospital itself in Spring 2026.
But to complete this ambitious project and to keep bringing outstanding productions to schools and venues across the UK, we still need your help.
